The purpose of this study was to investigate psychosocial status of TMD with/without muscle disorder and TMD with/without complaint of headache. and to investigate correlations among graded chronic pain(GCP). depression scores, somatization scores. and jaw disability using RDC/TMD(research diagnostic criteria for TMD).
The obtained results were as follows:

2. Patients with complaint of headache had higher pain intensity (p≶0.05). pain-related disability (p≶0.05). depression score (p≶0.01). somatization score (p≶0.01). and jaw disability score (p≶0.05) than patients without complaint of headache.
3. Patients with muscle disorder had higher pain-related disability (p≶0.05), depression score (p≶0.01), somatization score (p≶0.01). and jaw disability score (p≶0.01) than patients without muscle disorder.
4. There were no significant gender differences in pain intensity. pain-related disability, depression score, somatization score. and jaw disability score.
5. Pain intensity had correlations with pain-related disability, jaw disability score, depression score, and somatization score. Pain-related disability had correlations with depression and somatization scores. Jaw disability score had correlations with depression scores and somatization scores.
